Exciting news — just in time for the holidays! Over the past month, more than 25,000 Americans, including UNA-USA members like you, urged their members of Congress to take swift action and pay our UN and UN Peacekeeping dues for FY'15 before the end of the year. Guess what: Congress listened!
After hearing from supporters like you, Congress passed a spending bill that fully funds our UN and UN Peacekeeping dues for 2015.
With the resources provided, the bill will fund our share of sixteen UN Peacekeeping missions critical to U.S. national security interests, and also fund a number of key UN agencies and programs, including the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Food Programme (WFP) and UN Women.
With the announcement of this spending bill, it’s clear that members of Congress understand the enormous value and impact that the UN has in making this world a better place.
We couldn't have accomplished this without UN advocates like you who contacted their members of Congress in support of the issue, and for that, we thank you.
